Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia is a membership-based, not-for-profit advocacy organization whose mission is to actively promote the appreciation and protection of Philadelphia’s most historic buildings, communities, and landscapes. 

The project's challenge was to refresh the current logo. The journey toward a new identity started with sketching symbols that embody history, preservation, and the spirit of Philadelphia. The culmination was a design utilizing figure-ground reversal, blending a feather quill pen with an iconic representation of William Penn to craft a distinctive mark.

In choosing colors, blue and gold were selected to symbolize inspiration, wisdom, trust, and leadership—qualities intrinsic to the organization's mission and values.
